Arthur Fitting is an RN and LGBTQ+ Program Manager at VNS Health and has dedicated his extensive 50+ year career as a healthcare leader to addressing healthcare disparities within the LGBTQ+ community. His first foray into community health nursing was working as a nurse on the frontlines in New York City during the AIDS crisis. Decades later, that experience continues to inspire Arthur and drive his commitment to improving healthcare access and quality for members of the LGBTQ+ community. The LGBTQ+ Program at VNS Health he leads promotes compassionate, patient-centered care through deeper integration of culturally sensitive practices across the organization. Over the years, Arthur has played an important leadership role in addressing the healthcare needs of the HIV+ community. He is a member of the NYC HIV Planning Council Needs Assessment Committee.
