Joanne August, MSN, RN, CMSRN

Joanne August is a faculty member in the accelerated (evening/weekends) and traditional BSN program in Widener University's School of Nursing. Her philosophy of teaching evolved from her experiences as a teacher and student. Reflecting upon her beliefs of teaching and learning, her role is to assist students in successfully balancing course materials, clinical, and enhance academic preparation for success. She is a navigator to facilitate and enhance self-reflection to promote an enthusiasm for learning and support a foundation for lifelong learning. She received her MSN and BS in nursing from Widener University. Her research interests include interprofessional education, communication and collaboration, and integration of technology into nursing curricula.
