If you are in the nursing profession, chances are you have faced a difficult physician. This may be all very familiar if you have had to defend your answers, reasoning, or judgement to a physician. I have been that nurse and each time rising to the top of my ground because I know the best defense strategies. Similarly, you may have also been that nurse.
Whether your a new graduate or a 10 year veteran, there may be a time when your skills are questioned. However, there is not reason for a physician to bluntly give you a hard time. Yes, there are different levels of knowledge but as healthcare professionals it is our duty to teach other. Unfortunately, some physicians will use there level of education to bully nurses.
